Lunch with a view

Tyn Church to the right has the double towers, and the Old Town Hall has an astronomical clock that draws a crowd each day. The Astronomical Clock is a big deal in the Old Town Square. It is at the base of the Old Town Hall. Tourists can also pay to go to he top of that tower, but I was too tired, needed some lunch, and had a train to catch at 2:30, so I got my view from the terrace of the Hotel U Prince.

Martina, my Terizin and Ledice tour guide gave me a tip for getting some good pictures of Prague. She is a film maker when she is not leading tours, and she told me that she frequently uses the Hotel U Prince and its outdoor terrace resturant when filming survior testimonies. Chad and I had crowns in our pockets at the end of our time in Prague, so we spent a $1000 crowns on a really nice lunch at the terrace garden before our 2:30 train. It was one of the suggested restaurants in the Rick Steves guide, but without Martina's suggestion I probably would not have gone there.

Heaters are frequently necessary for out door dining, but the sun was enough this morning.
I defininately needed that couduroy jacket this morning.
